Success Story:
In August 2024, I successfully advocated for a client, his support workers, and his family to urgently pursue a medical assessment in response to challenging behaviours, including head banging and property damage. Based on our behavioural observations, we hypothesised that these behaviours were linked to underlying physical pain. Through persistent collaboration and follow-up with healthcare providers, our hypothesis was confirmed: the client was experiencing significant dental and gastrointestinal pain. Once treated, we observed a marked reduction in challenging behaviours and an overall improvement in the client’s quality of life and wellbeing. He is a much calmer and happier person today, which is so fulfilling and wonderful to see.

"It is fulfilling to see people grow and overcome obstacles along the way."
